INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this book is to analyze the history and the symbols of the Great Seal of the United States, and to determine if there is reason to suspect that its origin was influenced by occultists and members of secret societies. The purpose of this book is not to show that all Freemasons are evil, even less to portray all the Founding Fathers of our country as being occultists! However, it will become all to clear in the course of our study that the symbols on the Great Seal are blatantly Masonic and occult, and that from the very birth of our nation forces have been at work that have not acted in the best interests of our country, but the true motive of their actions lies in their intent to subvert our American way of government.

This Scripture in Daniel tells how the evil Antiochus Epiphanies came to power through a small number of people. It has always been the method of secret societies to manipulate 'the masses' with 'the few'. With key people in prominent positions, secret societies have, in the past, been able to do great harm with a small amount of people through their clandestine operations. We will also discover when secret societies are involved, the people who pull the strings and wield the true power stay hidden in the shadows and have others to do their dirty work.

CHAPTER ONE

Three committees worked on the design of the Great Seal of the United States.

The first committee was appointed on July 4, 1776 and consisted of:

On March 25, 1780 the second committee was appointed:

The third committee formed in May of 1782:

The third committee asked William Barton who was skillful at drawing to assist them!

The Seal as it was completed and as we have it today was primarily the work of three men that served on those committees: Barton, Jefferson, and Charles Thomson, Secretary of Congress.1

The second device was adopted, reported on May 9, 1792 and referred to the Secretary of Congress, Charles Thomson, on June 13th. The final device, however, was a composite result of the ideas of Barton, Thomson and Jefferson, who, for example, is known to have placed a triangle around the eye, and to have added the year 1776, E Pluribus Unum, and other items.2

Dies were cast for the front of the Seal in 1782 and 1841 but the reverse side of the seal was not used. The reverse side of the seal was officially rejected in 1883 by an official committee.3

One of the committee consultants for the 1883 committee was Professor Charles Elliot Norton of Harvard University. The reason that Mr. Norton gave for rejecting the reverse side with its 'all-seeing eye' and 'pyramid' is profound to say the least. Mr. Norton gave as his reason:

"it is greatly to be regretted that the device adopted by Congress in 1782 is elaborate and allegorical a character. As to the reverse... it can hardly (however artistically treated by the designer) look otherwise than as a dull emblem of a Masonic fraternity."4

THE EMBLEMS ON THE GREAT SEAL OF THE UNITED STATES ARE MASONIC

It is not a theory, but a documented fact! This fact is something the Masons readily admit and are proud of. It should come as no surprise because of the members of the original committee, Franklin and Adams were definitely Masons and Jefferson was probably a Mason although this is not known for an absolute fact. It was no big surprise that the reverse side of the seal was rejected in 1883 for being a "dull emblem of a Masonic Fraternity".

The list of symbols on our dollar bills is below. Reading this quote from the official Masonic Magazine of the Supreme Council 33rd degree of the Scottish Rite should put an end to the question that asks if the symbols on the Great Seal are Masonic! The symbols on the Great Seal of the United States were definitely Masonic beyond a shadow of a doubt, however, it is also possible another secret society was at work in creating the symbols of the Seal and attempting to manipulate our government from its very beginning. The other secret society that could have influence of the Great Seal, is the Illuminati.

In Chapter 2 we will undertake a brief study of the history of this evil organization, the Illuminati, and of its association with the Masonic lodge.

On the front of the dollar bill is the seal of the United States made up of a key, square, and the Scales of Justice, as well as a compass which, of course, is an important symbol in Masonry.

Would it be possible for a secret society such as the Illuminati to have influenced the symbols on the Great seal? Some people believe the date 1776 on the pyramid on the Great Seal, refers to the date of the founding of the Illuminati instead of the founding of our country. It is also possible the all-seeing eye is a symbol of the Illuminati. When members of the Illuminati group wrote to one another, they would never mention the group by name but would designate the organization by the symbol of a circle with a dot in the center.

Adam Weishaupt who was a professor at Ingolstadt University founded the Illuminati in Bavaria on May 1, 1776. Weishaupt recruited an inner circle of Masonic men that he felt would be receptive of his heresies and accepted them into the Illuminati. Weishaupt directed the Illuminati by means of the Masonic Lodge. Through these men Weishaupt created a Lodge within a Lodge dedicated to fulfilling his own agenda. This was accomplished even though some of the members of the Masonic Lodge were not aware of what was going on.

Weishaupt was very successful in spreading his organization and on the roster of Illuminati members were very prominent and powerful people, such as professors, priests, counts, barons, lawyers, prominent businessmen and magistrates. The Basic doctrines and goals of the Illuminati can be summed up in six points.

1. Abolition of Monarchy and all ordered government

2. Abolition of private property

3. Abolition of inheritance

4. Abolition of patriotism

5. Abolition of the family (i.e. of marriage and all morality, and the institution of the communal education of children)

6. Abolition of all religion6

The world was alerted to the dangers of the Illuminati in 1785, by a profound act of God.

An evangelist preacher and Illuminatus named Lanze had been sent in July 1785 as an emissary of the Illuminati to Silesia, but on his journey he was struck down by lightning. The instructions of the order were found on him, and as a result its intrigues were conclusively revealed the government of Bavaria.7

This fateful event started an investigation by the Bavarian government that led to the complete exposure of the Illuminati:

A collection of original papers and correspondence was found by searching the house of one Zwack (a member) in 1786. The following year a much larger collection was found at the house of Baron Bassus; and since that time Baron Knigge, the most active member next to Weishaupt, published an account of some of the higher degrees, which had been formed by himself.8

When the horseman was struck down while transporting plans and documents on his way to France, the investigation that followed uncovered the diabolical intent of the Illuminati to overthrow government and religion so clearly that the Bavarian government felt compelled to warn all of Europe.

The attempt of the Bavarian government to warn other European governments is on historical record in an official document entitled Original Writings of the Order and Sect of the Illuminati. Four years after lightning struck the horseman, the French Revolution rocked Europe.9

The first document published by the Bavarian government in 1787, was followed by a second one later that year, and a third in 1794.

All these consist in the correspondence and papers of the Order which were seized by the Bavarian Government at the houses of two of the members, Zwack and Bassus, and published by order of the Elector. The authenticity of these documents has never been denied even by the Illuminati themselves; Weishaupt, in his published defense, endeavored only to explain away the most incriminating passages. The publishers moreover, were careful to state at the beginning of the first volume: "Those who might have any doubts on the authenticity of this collection may present themselves at the Secret Archives here, where, on request, the original documents will be laid before them." This precaution rendered all dispute impossible.10

When the Illuminati was exposed by the government of Bavaria, Adam Weishaupt was forced to leave the country, but he had done his work well and his plans had advanced too far to be stopped. Weishaupt started his movement as a rebel organization within the Masonic Lodge without the blessing or consent of Masonry in the beginning. By the year 1782, the Illuminati had grown to over three million members worldwide and was in control of the lodges throughout Europe. They were now in a position to force the Masonic Lodge to give them official recognition. This took place at the congress of Wilhelmsbad in 1782. This fact can be documented from Masonic sources. A quote from the much loved Masonic source, Mackey's Revised Encyclopedia of Freemasonry under the article, "Wilhelmsbad, Congress of," proves the point.

At Wilhelmsbad, near the city of Hanau in Hesse-Cassel, was held the most important Masonic congress of the eighteenth century....: but there were delegates from Upper and Lower Germany, from Holland, Russia, Italy, France, and Austria; and the order of the Illuminati was represented by the Baron Von Knigge. It is not therefore surprising that the most heterogeneous opinions were expressed.11

Considering the doctrines and goals of the Illuminati, which we have already stated, we might expect that the opinions expressed at the Wilhelmsbad conference were at the least heterogeneous. What had happened at Wilhelmsbad, much to the Masons disgrace, was that the Illuminati was now officially united with the mother organization. The Brittish Historian, Nesta H. Webster, recorded the testimony of a member of the Masonic Lodge concerning the Congress of Wilhelmsbad.

But it was not until the Congress de Wilhelmsbad that the alliance between Illuminism and Freemasonry was finally sealed....What passed at this terrible Congress will never be known to the outside world, for even those men who had been drawn unwittingly into the movement, and now heard for the first time the real designs of the leaders, were under oath to reveal nothing. One such honest Freemason, the Comte de Virieu, a member of Martiniste Lodge at Lyons, returning from the Congre's de Wilhelmsbad could not conceal his alarm, and when questioned on the "tragic secrets" he had brought back with him, replied: "I will not confide them to you. I can only tell you that all this is very much more serious than you think. The conspiracy which is being woven is so well thought out that it will be, so to speak, impossible for the monarchy and the Church to escape from it." From this time onwards, says his biographer, M. Costa de Beauregard, "the Comte de Virieu could only speak of Freemasonry with horror."12

The depth of the error and perversion of the anti-Christ teaching of the Illuminati can be shown in a few brief quotes from the papers that the Bavarian government made public after their investigation. In one of these writings Weishaupt brags about how he subtly destroys Christianity in his priest's degree.

One would almost imagine, that this degree, as I have managed it, is genuine Christianity, and that its end was to free the Jews from slavery. I say that Free Masonry is concealed Christianity. My explanation of the hieroglyphics, at least, proceeds on this supposition; and as I explain things, no man need be ashamed of being a Christian. Indeed I afterwards throw away this name, and substitute Reason.....You may think that this is my chief work; but I have three other degrees, all different, for my class of higher mysteries, in comparison with which this is but child's play;.....You can't imagine what respect and curiosity my priest-degree has raised; and, which is wonderful, a famous Protestant divine, who is now of the Order, is persuaded that the religion contained in it is the true sense of Christianity. 0 MAN, MAN! TO WHAT MAY'ST THOU NOT BE PERSUADED. Who would imagine that I was to be the founder of a new religion?13

Weishaupt felt personal satisfaction when he was able to deceive a Christian into believing his lies. But as you notice, not even occultists have any respect for Christians that are not true to their faith. They are only good to be used and made fun of behind their backs.

We will now examine the higher degrees that Weishaupt said made the priest degree look like child's play. Some have believed that the 'higher orders' of Weishaupt, were pure Satanism and after examining the evidence, that belief would be hard to disagree with. Weishaupt describes these 'orders' as only for those who are ready to go to any length for people who have laid aside all of their prejudices.

The allegory on which I am to found the mysteries of the Higher Orders is the fire- worship of the Magi. We must have some worship, and none is so apposite. LET THERE BE LIGHT, AND THERE SHALL BE LIGHT. This is my motto, and is my fundamental principle.........For I engage that none shall enter this class who has not laid aside his prejudices. No man is fit for our Order who is not a Brutus or a Catiline, and is not ready to go every length.--- Tell me how you like this?14

Weishaupt said the Illuminati must have worship! To be a part of this worship you had to be a Brutus or a Catiline that was ready to go to any length. A little review of history will provide some real insight into these words of Adam Weishaupt. Brutus we remember as one of the assassins of Julius Ceaser. The dictionary definition of Catilinarian is also very interesting. Under Catilinarian, Webster's dictionary says:

of, relating to, or like Catiline, who conspired against the government; specif: CONSPIRATORIAL..15

No better description of the Illuminati could be given than the one that is here extracted from Weishaupt's own words. They were a murderous organization that conspired against the governments of the world and worshipped the powers of evil. This certainly proved to be true in the Illuminatists well documented involvement in the Bloody French Revolution. The higher degrees (orders) of the Illuminati were so evil that it was even repulsive to some of their most dedicated members. The rituals of the higher degrees were the cause of a split between Weishaupt and the number two man of the Illuminati, Baron Von Knigge. William T. Still reveals Von Knigge's reason for splitting with Weishaupt:

He revealed his suspicions that Weishaupt was inventing the highest degrees of Illuminism to be nothing more than a medium for pure Satan worship and explained that it was this realization that led to their eventual split.16

Baron Von Knigge describes these rituals of Weishaupt's in his own words. Various code names were used in the Illuminati organization. Sparticus is the code name for Weishaupt.

Sparticus...painted his three favorite mystery degrees, which were to be conferred by him alone, in colours which had fascinated his own fancy. But they were the colors of hell, and would have scared the most intrepid: and because I represented the danger of this, and by force obtained the omission of this picture, he became my implacable enemy. I abhor treachery and profligacy, and leave him to blow himself and his Order in the air.17

This evil organization that first manifested its ability for anarchy in the French Revolution, had nothing less than world conquest as its goal. To quote Weishaupt:

It is necessary to establish a universal regime and empire over the whole world...18

The true Satanic nature of the Illuminati is revealed in its determined resolve to destroy Christianity. In one of the earliest exposes of the Illuminati, by Professor John Robison in 1798, this fact became all too clear. In professor Robison's own words:

Nothing is more clear than that the design of the Illuminati was to abolish Christianity...19

Professor Robison was convinced that the work of the Illuminati did not cease with the suppression that began in Bavaria in 1785. One of the men that read Robison's book and agreed that the Illuminati was still active was the first President of the United States, George Washington. President Washington did not believe that the Masonic Lodges in America were involved in the Illuminati conspiracy, however, this is something that he was not in a position to be aware of, because a study of the facts will show that Washington's involvement with the Lodge was minimal. President Washington was well aware that the Illuminati was at work in America. He wrote:

It was not my intention to doubt that the doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism, had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more fully satisfied of this fact than I am.20

Further investigation will show that it is likely that the Illuminati has tried to manipulate the government of our nation, and it is quite possible that they left their stamp on the great seal of the United States. If you have recognized in the goals and doctrines of the Illuminati the basic tenets of the New Age Movement and also of Communism, you have been very accurate and perceptive. It is certainly possible the concerted efforts under way today to destroy Christianity could well have originated with an evil genius [Weishaupt and his Illuminati] in Bavaria long ago. (See, f.#6)
