I am a Therapist who works with survivors of Satanic Ritual Abuse, and often wonder why resources that deals with these particular issues have not been available for them. That is why when I read Gilead’s Balm I was delighted to see a book put together that is practical and comes from a Biblical perspective. Survivors that suffer traumatic abuse have many issues and it takes time for them to heal. We live in an instant society and want to be delivered quickly and painlessly. One of the benefits from using Gilead’s Balm is that it takes the survivor through a process that is solid in God’s Word. When a survivor comes to the saving Grace of Jesus Christ and learns to replace the lies that they were forced to believe with God’s truth healing comes. I believe that Pastors, lay counselors and professionals all need to not only read this book but to add it to their library. Dr. Mary Jo Schneller, Ph, D.
DEDICATION This book is dedicated to all of God’s hurting people. When we hurt, God hurts. We pray this book will be a help when ministering to those hurting. We also want to offer the healing balm for their souls. We can have victory through Jesus Christ. God loves his people and wants them to be healed, at peace, and full of joy. He wants them working to bring others into His Kingdom, and anxiously awaiting the return of His Son, Jesus Christ. (Jeremiah 8:21-22 KJV) For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me. {22} Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered? INTRODUCTION Our goal is to help heal the wounded and guide them to freedom in Jesus Christ and to provide a user friendly resource tool for ministers, therapists, and counselors. If you are not a Christian, you can learn how to become one. If you are already a Christian, you can obtain greater freedom in Christ by working through the SEVEN STEPS TO VICTORY IN JESUS CHRIST. It is important for every Christian to know WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST (see Appendix One). It is even more important to know WHO CHRIST IS IN US.We want to make it known to all that we are not professional counselors. We are just ordinary people that God has seen fit to use in this area of ministry. We have had hands on experience for several years in dealing with the horrors of different types of abuse and those it leaves behind. Therefore, we write this book to help speed the healing process for God’s hurting children. We want to apply the healing balm of Gilead found in God’s word to heal the broken, the ones who have been taken captive, the wounded victim-survivors of all types abuse and all those who want freedom in Jesus Christ. WE FIGHT THIS BATTLE AGAINST SATAN AND HIS DEMONS FROM A POSITION OF VICTORY Jesus has already won the battle. ................................... SOUL TIES ARE THE RESULT OF SINFUL SEXUAL OR ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR. A soul tie is a spiritual bond between our soul and the soul of another person, or between our soul and a demonic spirit. We have seen the effect of soul ties several times in the lives of attractive and intelligent teenage girls who have made the mistakes of having sexual relations with a "looser". Many times the girl will admit that she doesn't like this boy and that he treats her so badly , but she is still unable to get away from him, or to break off the relationship. This is because a soul tie was formed between her soul and his because of the sexual union. Soul ties can also be seen at work with battered women who return again and again to the men who beat them. and in the lives of men who are hen-pecked and controlled by abusive women. Women as well as men are very capable of using seduction and the sexual bond as a means of manipulation and control. God created the sexual act to procure children and for the mutual pleasure of the husband and wife. It is sinful for a husband or wife to use the sexual union for manipulation or control. Many witches are also aware of the power of the soul tie and cults and gangs will also use the sexual act as an initiation rite to bond the person to the group. THE BIBLICAL UNDERSTANDING OF SOUL TIES
The Biblical word that describes this bond that takes place is "cleave". The Greek word is kollao and it means to glue or cement your soul to another person's soul. Vine's Dictionary of New Testament Words gives us the following definition:
When we know that the Biblical word cleave is the Greek word kollao and that it comes from the Greek word kolla, which means glue, it is easier to understand the spiritual damage that takes place as the result of sexual sin. People that commit repeated and then pulling away causing real spiritual damage to their souls. The damage that results from adultery is even greater because a person is pulling apart the bonds that he or she has formed with their own spouses plus the adulterous partner will also be pulling their own bonds apart. The Bible calls this destroying your soul.
We can also see the soul tie at work in the Old Testament Scriptures.
The good news is that Jesus Christ has provided forgiveness and cleansing for our sin:
The following healing balm is often hard to apply because Satan will do all he can to prevent healing. Therefore, we suggest that you first say a prayer asking the Holy Spirit to open the person's mind so that the person can remember, and to bind any Satanic or demonic influence that may try to interfere with this healing process. A person needs to get a sheet of paper and write down the name of every person that they have ever had a sinful relationship with. (This list will be their own personal property to dispose of as they wish after she is finished with it. The person does not even have to show it to anyone.) The person then needs to go down the list asking God's forgiveness and cleansing for each relationship. If all the names or relationships can't be remembered, it doesn't matter, God is able to forgive and cleanse when we come to Him with an honest heart. The person needs to be reassured that if he or she recalls a name later, they need to renounce any involvement with them at that time and again ask God to forgive and cleanse them and accept the fact that God has indeed done just that. After the person has finished praying through the list, anoint them with oil and lay hands on them to break the soul tie to each person on the list. A prayer such as the one below may be said. Please insert the Victor's name while praying.
AND ANOINTING WITH OIL 1.The use of pornography can result in severe bondage because it opens the mind up to sexual fantasy and creates soul ties between your spirit and demonic spirits. The person must be willing to immediately destroy all pornographic materials and to make a firm decision to break with all forms of pornography (yes, even T.V. and Movies if they have been a problem) to get free of this powerful demonic stronghold. 2.This can also form soul ties with unclean spirits because of the fantasy element. 3.The act of abortion can form soul ties with unclean spirits that can result in depression, self-mutilation, and even suicide. 4.Women who have been involved in Satanic rituals will sometimes have voices in their mind and compulsive behavior during the pre-menstrual-syndrome (PMS) that cannot be explained by general nervousness and irritability that accompanies that time of the month. This can be the result of Satanic rituals that took place during the menstrual cycle. 5.The objects can also be used by Satan as foothold to establish a soul tie with a spirit. 6.We now come to discuss spook phenonomena in the form of sexual experiences, which is surely the most repellent area of pastoral work. There are namely some severely troubled people who have nocturnal sexual spook experiences, and are tormented by them. This is not a matter of "wet dreams" or of the sexual hallucinations of schizophrenics, but of experiences in a waking state. In the history of religion this phenomena is known as incubi and succubae. The following is good advice from Dr. Neil Anderson:
7. BESTIALITY
Bestiality is having sexual relations with animals. A person needs to pray about bestiality if you have been exposed to pornography of that kind or if a person is troubled with excessive thoughts in that area. * Important, read information under sample prayer* 8. CARE-GIVERS, FAMILY MEMBERS After discussing these eight areas, the person needs to make a list of their involvement and actions in those six areas. Definite prayers of renunciation, forgiveness, and cleansing need to be prayed by the person in any of the areas that apply. Following those prayers, anoint them with oil and pray to break all soul ties with the persons or spirits in the name of Jesus.
*When praying to break the soul tie for bestiality, pray to break the tie between the animals and also between the unclean spirits. Also be sure to break the curse in Jesus name that goes along with this action.
Be aware that Satan will try to use shame to keep the Victor from getting free from their sexual sin. Reassure them of the grace, forgiveness and cleansing in the blood of Jesus. Sexual bondage is very real and powerful and often times the key to victory is sharing your problem with another person and having them pray with you.
Reassure them that you will not judge or condemn the Victor for anything that they might share and that Jesus wants to set them FREE!
